2008 Mystery Night
The club held it's annual "Mystery Night" on Tuesday, 25 April. This is a dinner meeting
where members caravan to a "mystery" location for fun and fellowship. This year the club had
an outstanding dinner at Milano's restaurant in Springfield.

2008 Bland Music Competition
The club held it's annual Bland Music Competition on Saturday, 9 February at Krikwood
Presbyterian Church from 2:00-4:00.
Their were 11 instrumental contestants and two vocal contestants. Winners in each
category competed at the District 24-A Region Competition for an opportunity to represent the
district at the State Convention in May 2008.

2008 Toys for Local Charities
Club members donated toys for local charities at the annual club Holiday Party on Tuesday, 11 Dec. The toys were donated to Echo and Koinonia for distribution to childern in the Springfield-Franconia area.

2007 Flea Markets
The club concluded its 2007 flea market season on Sat, 17 Nov. The season was one
of our best ever - we raised over $15,000!!! Thanks to all the vendors and customers that made this season a success.
ALL proceeds from the Flea Markets go back into the community to help serve those in need.

2007 Lee District Nights
The club sponsored the Lee District Nights concert at Lee District Park Amphitheater on Wed, 11 July.
Club representatives handed out concert and club flyers, as well as provided cookies to
the attendees who enjoyed the music of the Alexandria Kleztet band.

2007 International Youth Exchange
The club participated in the 44th Annual
William C. Chandler Lions International Youth Camp sponsored by the Montgomery Lions Club in Montgomery, Alabama.
For five days, while in the DC area from 21-25 Jun, the club hosted 15 international youth,
young men ages 17 to 21, with tours of DC and various Lions Club-sponsored events.
This event was once again a tremendous success, enjoyed by all. If you would like to be a host
family for one or more young men next year, please contact us.

2007 Annual White Cane Fund Raiser
The club held it's annual White Cane fund raiser over Easter and Mother's Day weekends. We raised over $2000 as a result of
generous donations from people in the community. All proceeds from the White Cane go back into the community to help serve those in need.
